School Daze

And so it begins anew. Working on completing my MLA and taking two courses this fall: Masters of World Literature and Huey Long in Literature & Film. The former class will consist of books I have avoided reading thus far: Homer’s The Odyssey , Euripides’ Ten PlaysPlato’s SymposiumApuleius’  Golden Ass and Dante’s Inferno and Vita NuovaThe latter will be: Alan Brinkley, Voices of Protest, Robert Penn Warren, All the King’s Men, and T. Harry Williams, Huey Long.

Baby, that’s a lot of books. This is in addition to the monthly book club I attend.

Tell me – how do you feel about reading?

  1. I should re-read the Odyssey; I read it as a bookworm-y 8th grader and remember almost nothing. As long as the bookclub keeps picking fluffy reads, you should be OK.
